The Zan and Jordan Show - Episode 9
with Zan Perrion and Jordan Luke Collier

Our podcast seems to coalesce into an analysis, a hobby: to examine culture over the long arc of time, and explore how our own drops in the ocean might return but an ounce of satisfaction.

We are, of course, not exactly the first men ever to do this. The contemplation of depth, of the artist’s response, probably date back to the cave.

There is something in human mastery that intrinsically compels us. We are astounded by the few wild creatures who not only dazzle us with their words, but delight us in their telling. When content and form fuse together, we feel it. A work of art, one’s self-expression, is embodied.

If I am to merely cobble together one book, one passage, one sentence that sings… will this artist’s disquiet be redeemed?!

Mislaid Quotes:

“Go placidly amidst the noise and haste”
— Max Ehrmann, from Desiderata

“The youth gets together his materials to build a bridge to the moon, or, perchance, a palace or temple on the earth, and, at length, the middle-aged man concludes to build a woodshed with them.”
— Henry David Thoreau
